Homework

So this semester I am in a few photography classes... Digital photography (b/c my classroom experience is in 35mm black and white film) and Advanced photography. I am just really interested in learning all that I can and improving my photography. So here is one of my projects....

Here is my makeshift still life studio I made in my room. (notice the lint roller holding the muslin up at the top) This can be done with any dark sheet, material or if you are wanting a white background, use a posterboard or large sheet of paper. Paper is better for white b/c it will bounce the light.

Here is the finished product

It was fun to play with the light b/c the same feather appears to be different colors depending on the angle of the light.

Amber {Senior Pictures}

Meet Amber....

She is my cousin from Newark, Ohio.... She had her senior pics done by a local photographer and was really upset with the way they came out, so when I was home visiting I offered her my services in exchange for the opportunity to do a senior shoot!  It was a great way for us to spend some time together, b/c I am so much older than her we don't really know each other all that well.  Needless to say... she liked my photo's better and will be using them for her graduation announcements!  woo hoo! Go me! lol

It was a lot of fun and made me realize that I would love do more senior photo's. It is such a fun part of a  persons life and there is so much personality that can be captured.

Tony and Julie AKA "Tulie"

Tony & Julie or as we call them "Tulie"

This was a just for fun shoot out in Beaver Arkansas NW of Eureka. Here you will find this amazing one lane suspension bridge.... I can see this being a common photo location! It was another chilly winter day, but luckily here in between the mountains the wind was minimal.  I can't wait to go back out there once it greens up.
